Fishing at Alta Lake is managed seasonally. It opens on the fourth Saturday in April, staying open through Halloween.

We arrived here on Saturday evening to find the place hopping with beach goers and and groups bbqing. We quickly realized this was going to be a rowdy campground as there were people and cars everywhere.
